If you've been dealing with jock itch or athlete's foot, you've probably seen the ads. Two brands — Loravey and Veloma — have been all over Facebook. Both claim to be the best. Veloma even published a "SCAMMERS ALERT" page accusing Loravey of copying their formula.

So we fact-checked it. We pulled company records, ran AI detection on their ads, traced registrations, and verified reviews. Here's what we found.

Finding #1

Veloma's "Founder" Doesn't Exist.

Veloma features "Dr. Andrew Fogarty" — supposedly a naturopath and company founder. No medical license. No LinkedIn. No social media. No published papers. This person does not exist anywhere outside Veloma's own website.

Then we looked at the video:

🎥 AI-Generated "Founder"

Count the fingers on his left hand. There are 7. A classic artifact of AI-generated video. This "doctor" was created by a computer.

A brand fabricating a medical professional to build trust with men suffering from a real condition. This isn't a gray area — it's deception.

Finding #2

Veloma Is a Hong Kong Shell Company — Not Australian.

Veloma's branding says "Australian-made." Their site shows a Queensland address with an Australian flag. But their actual operator — Lustra Limited — is a Hong Kong company, incorporated April 28, 2025.

🎥 What the Records Show

Why this matters: If their product causes a reaction — you have virtually no legal recourse. A Hong Kong shell entity is not accountable under U.S. or Australian consumer protection law.

Finding #3

Loravey Was First. The Timeline Proves It.

Veloma claims Loravey copied them. The store data tells a different story.

✅ Loravey Store Data

Loravey store data showing first product July 6, 2025, 56 products, US Sheridan region

❌ Veloma Store Data

Veloma store data showing first product October 19, 2025, 4 products, HK Chai Wan Kok region

Loravey launched in July 2025 from the U.S. with 56 products. Veloma launched in October 2025 from Hong Kong with 4 products. You can also verify Loravey's U.S. trademark filing at uspto.report/TM/99410764.

The "copycat" accusation doesn't hold up.

Finding #4

Zero Real Customers. Zero Real People.

We went through Veloma's entire ad library and social presence looking for one real human being. A real customer on camera. A real founder. A real employee. We found none.

Every "testimonial" is text-only. Every person in their ads appears AI-generated. Not a single real human has ever appeared on camera endorsing this product.

Real Customer Video Testimonials from Veloma

Compare that to Loravey: hundreds of video testimonials from real men showing real results. Real UGC creators. Real customers on camera with real names.

Finding #5

The "Scammers Alert" Is Actually a Sales Page.

Veloma's "SCAMMERS ALERT" page about Loravey isn't a consumer warning — it's a sales funnel. Fear-mongering headlines at the top, fear-building in the middle, and a big green "GET THE ORIGINAL" checkout button at the bottom. It's a conversion page disguised as consumer protection.

The P.S. reads: "Loravey will probably copy this page too." — designed to preemptively discredit any response. Classic manipulation.
